Applying to the BWH/Harvard Medical School Sub-Internships in Urology

Sub-Internships

The Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School Program in Urology offers two primary sub-internships in Urology for third- and fourth-year medical students:

  • Diseases of the Genitourinary Tract (Course Number: SU518M.23a)

  • Urologic Oncology (Course Number: SU518M.23b)

An additional sub-internship in pediatric and adult urology is offered by Boston Children’s Hospital (SU518M.J).

Application

Medical students interested in a visiting rotation in Urology at Brigham and Women's Hospital should:

  1. Please first contact Logan Snelling, our education program manager, at lnsnelling@bwh.harvard.edu to discuss availability.

  2. After you have contacted Logan Snelling, fill out an application via VSLO Application Service (link). You may also access the HMS Registrar website for further information. On your application, please be sure to specify that you would like to rotate at BWH.

Commitment to Diversity

The Department of Urology, through Harvard Medical School's Office of Diversity Inclusion and Community Partnership, has a visiting clerkship program. The program is aimed at providing support for students identifying as underrepresented in medicine (URiM). Benefits of the program, which covers one month, include dedicated mentorship and networking as well as a stipend for housing and travel to Boston.
