Dr. Tracy Downs (BWH Urology residency graduate ‘01) is the inaugural Chief Diversity and Community Engagement Officer at University of Virginia Health and Senior Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at UVA School of Medicine. He continues to be active clinically with a focus on prostate and bladder cancer. He joined UVA Health from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where he was Associate Dean for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs and Professor of Urologic Oncology.

He received his medical degree from the University of California San Diego, completed his residency at BWH/HMS Program in Urology, and completed fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco.

We were thrilled to welcome him back in June 2022 as Visiting Professor.
