Residency Program Faculty

The residency faculty cover all aspects and subspecialties of urology, including general urology, andrology and infertility, endourology, genitourinary reconstructive surgery, urogynecology, urologic oncology, and pediatric urology (at Boston Children’s Hospital).

  • Dr. Adam Kibel

    CHAIR, DEPARTMENT OF UROLOGY

    Dr. Adam S. Kibel is Chair of Urology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center. In addition, he is Elliott Carr Culter Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and chairman of the BWH/Harvard Medical School Program in Urology. Dr Kibel received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Cornell University, completed his urology residency at the Harvard Urology Program, and his fellowship at the Brady Urologic Institute at Johns Hopkins. The author of over 250 peer-reviewed publications, Dr Kibel’s research focuses on the identification of molecular markers of urologic tumors, adjuvant and neoadjuvant approaches to treatment of aggressive disease, and improved imaging of patients with urologic malignancies.

  • Dr. George Haleblian

    RESIDENCY PROGRAM DIRECTOR

    Dr. George Haleblian is associate surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Haleblian received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, his medical degree from the University of Southern California, and completed his urology residency at the University of Massachusetts. He subsequently completed a fellowship in endourology and laparoscopic surgery at Duke University Hospital. As Vice Chair of Education and Director of Endourology at BWH, Dr. Haleblian’s clinical interests include metabolic and surgical management of kidney stones. His research focuses include dietary strategies for prevention of kidney stones and the development of new technologies for stone management.

  • Dr. William Boysen

    ASSISTANT PROGRAM DIRECTOR

    Dr. William Boysen is associate surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Boysen received his undergraduate degree from Amherst College, his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and completed his urology residency at the University of Chicago. He subsequently completed a fellowship in complex genitourinary reconstruction and cancer survivorship at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Boysen’s clinical interests include urethral reconstruction, genitourinary trauma, gender affirmation surgery, and prosthetic urology. He is particularly interested in the care of cancer survivors and managing the long-term side effects of their life saving treatments.

  • Dr. Carlos Estrada

    CHAIR OF UROLOGY, BOSTON CHILDREN’S

    Dr. Carlos Estrada is the Urologist-in-Chief at Boston Children’s Hospital and Director of the Urodynamics and Neurourology Program. Dr. Estrada completed his fellowship at Boston Children's and joined the faculty in 2006.

  • Dr. Lori Lerner

    CHIEF OF UROLOGY, VA BOSTON HEALTH

    Dr. Lori Lerner is Chief of Urology of VA Boston Health Care. She currently serves as the Chair of the American Urological Association’s BPH Guidelines, and her clinical interests include voiding dysfunction, benign prostate surgery including laser therapy, and reconstruction.

  • Dr. Quoc-Dien Trinh

    CHIEF OF UROLOGY, BWH FAULKNER

    Dr. Quoc Trinh is Chief of Urology at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital. He serves as Co-Director of the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Prostate Cancer Center and Co-Director of the Mass General Brigham Prostate Cancer Outreach Clinic.
